A Three-Way Key to These Runes
Alphabet
When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for new Runes to be created to fit a natural language of the time, Odin sends new Runes and calls for heroes to give voice to their magic. Will you be one of them?
This text is a short Rosetta stone, being written in triplicate: in the English alphabet, in the American Futharch, and in the Futharch transliteration. The pronunciation is according to General American, but usually one’s speech may be slightly different.
“No highway cowboy” uses all five standard diphthongs in as many syllables. Silent letters aren’t written. Rune shapes vary across typefaces. Each of the thirty-three runes has been used at least once in this runic key.
